John W. Kirk

I am Professor Emeritus from Illinois State University. I was the founder of the Theatre Department that produced many well-known actors and whose students created the famed Steppenwolf Theatre in Chicago. Former students include John Malckovich, Judith Ivy, Gary Cole, Terry Kinney, Lauri Metcalf, William Petersen, Yvonne Suhor. I have written twelve plays, two texts and several articles and essays pertaining to the theatre.
