Travis Monday

Author Travis Monday writes books, articles, and poetry focused on history and on Christian life and ministry. He developed a passion for local history while serving on the Historical Commission of Mitchell County, Texas, where he was inspired by writer/historian Jim Baum. After he moved to Sweetwater, Texas, he wrote local history articles for the Pioneer City/County Museum for publication in the Sweetwater Reporter. His move to San Angelo, Texas, strengthened his passion for history, inspiring him to write numerous books now available in both print and eBook formats, including "Nineteen Jumps and a Prayer," about his tour of duty in Vietnam. While working on various history projects, Dr. Monday also spent 23 years serving as a pastor of local churches followed by 12 years as a hospital chaplain. He currently serves as Chaplain/Historian for Concho Valley Vietnam Veterans.
