E. DAN KLEPPER, who occasionally writes under the pen name Edwin Daniels, is an author, media artist, and outdoors enthusiast. He recently completed writing and photographing "100 Classic Hikes in Texas" (The Mountaineers Books, 2009), a hiking guide of the Lone Star state. Klepper is a frequent contributor to Texas Highways, Texas Parks & Wildlife Magazine, and texaswildnetwork.com, and is currently working on Klepper + Klepper ~ 50 Years in the Texas Outdoors (Texas A&M University Press, 2012), a book of essays and photographs that combines his work with that of his late father's - a consummate Texas outdoorsman and journalist. Klepper works from his home in Marathon, located in the state's Big Bend region, where he also exhibits his art and photography at Klepper Gallery. His work can be viewed at www.edanklepper.com.
