William M. Goble

William M. Goble is a Principal Partner and Co-founder of exida, a company that does research, training and IEC 61508 / IEC 62443 cyber-security certification for safety critical and high availability systems. He has developed probabilistic analysis methods for functional safety that are widely used today. He has over 40 years of experience in control systems doing product development, training and functional safety certification.

Dr. Goble has a BSEE from Penn State, an MSEE from Villanova and a PhD from Eindhoven University of Technology in Reliability Engineering. He is a Certified Functional Safety Expert (CFSE). He is a fellow member of ISA. He has written many technical articles and several best selling functional safety books.
