I was a pilot for Eastern Airlines for 25 delightful years. When they went bankrupt in 1991, I became the VP-Sales for SimCom International, an aircraft simulator building and pilot training facility in Orlando. My current passion is cycling which I came to very late in life - age 64, but quickly determined that I had the genetics for it. I train virtually every day, and I am the current Florida State USCF time trial, road race & Criterium champion, and the current Florida Senior Games 5K & 10K time trial champion. I also hold both Florida state time trial records (65-69 age group) which I broke in December of 2007 at the state championships. I also hold the state record for the 20K time trial in both the 65-69 & 70+ age groups. I love competing against elite cyclists. I feel privileged to even be able to cycle after breaking my neck (C1 cervical vertebra) in an accident while competing in a time trial on October 30th, 2005. It has been quite a trip going from broken neck to broken records!! Recent update - June 2011. Won a national time trial championship in Houston, shattered the national record and turned in top time of the day for all age groups starting at age 50!

I served in the United States Navy, and I was a police officer for the city of Palo Alto (motorcycle cop) for 5 years prior to becoming an airline pilot.

I have two sons and a daughter and 6 grandchildren & 1 great grandchild.

I'm a member of Mensa.
