Zighen Aym (1956) was born to modest Berber parents near the Atlas Mountains in Algeria. After he graduated from The Technical High School in the coastal city of Dellys, he landed a SONATRACH scholarship to study engineering in the United States of America. Upon graduation, he returned to Algeria and worked as a maintenance engineer near Hassi-Messad in the Sahara Desert. He returned to graduate school in the US to prepare for a Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering. He is currently retired after a 25-year engineering career at a Fortune 500 company. His first book is "Still Moments."
