Amy Sutton

Amy Sutton graduated from the University of California, Berkeley, with a degree in playwriting. She has won various awards for her poetry and short stories and has published four novels: "The Daisy Field," "The Healthy Executive," "Eternity's Chance," and now "Banjo." Amy is a retired fitness instructor, singer and teacher who educated via entertainment at assemblies throughout the San Francisco East Bay. Her volunteer work earned her Cal Berkeley's prestigious Rosalie Stern Award. Amy now lives in Texas so that she and her husband can be closer to their children and grandchildren. She continues to write fiction and is currently editing two of her other books. The author's new book, "Banjo," is the story of a working dog that was left at a rescue center with a broken leg. In an unlikely love at first sight encounter, the dog's sad, soulful eyes connect with Angie who works at the shelter. She then breaks all the rules and brings the injured dog home, sensing that Banjo will come to impact and benefit the lives of many in their small, closely-knit town. And he does! After all, dog spelled backwards is God.
