Robert Dellinger

Robert Dellinger is a family physician in North Carolina. Faith, family, and outdoor activities are his passions. His love of the mountains began with family trips as a child and continues today as he backpacks near and far. He was compelled to write about Elisha Mitchell, the man who gave his name to the highest mountain in eastern America. Mitchell was a Renaissance man who still serves as an example today. "Mitchell's Peak," a novel of historical fiction, tells the story of Mitchell's explorations and then disappearance on the mountain that still bears his name.

Robert professed faith in Jesus Christ over 50 years ago and has been a student of the Bible ever since. He has many years of experience teaching students in Southern Baptist churches. Beginning in 2013 he spent a year reading and blogging through the Bible daily, and those writings were combined to form his latest book, "Bible in a Year, Daily Devotional and Sermon Helps". The devotional has 366 daily readings covering an average of three chapters in the Bible, but usually focusing on one chapter. In addition there are 52 weekly readings that give an overview of the chapters covered in that week's daily readings. Those reading through the Bible in a year will find the devotions give great meaning and interest to their daily study. Pastors will find the book to be a great source of sermon inspirations with many devotions including bullet points and outlines suitable for preaching.
