Carlene Thie

Carlene Thie never worked a day for the Walt Disney Company, but make no mistake the Disney roots run deep. In the mid 1950s her grandfather Mell Kilpatrick began years of a working relationship with Walt Disney himself. Her father Blaine Sissel worked on the construction of Disneyland, and her grandmother Kathryn Kilpatrick worked for the Disneyland Parks for over 20 years. Mell Kilpatrick was only one known outside sours who retained all his rights to the Disney Images he took. Carlene Thie keeping her grandfathers legacy alive by creating these amazing historical images of Disneyland in five amazing books.
