Landscapes lie at the intersection of air and fire, land and water - elements that gives us our life and diversity, disruption and change.
.
Douglas Kent has been chasing these elements since childhood. Over 46 years of field experience, eight books, over 50 published articles, and landscapes scattered throughout California, Kent's hands are rarely clean. For the last 29 years he has run a horticultural services business that specializes in the measurable improvement of our landscapes and communities. He also teaches at USC Architecture & Urbanism, Cal Poly Pomona, and UCLA Horticulture Extension. When not in a garden Kent can be found goofing around with his family, or at sea, or both. His work can be viewed on anfractus.
