For starters, I wish to make clear that my name of Ann Richards (Lynn added in the middle for Goodreads) is my pen name. I'm not comfortable sharing a whole lot about my personal life. But I do enjoy writing stories. Even as a young child in 5th and 6th grade, I spent time, even over the summer months, writing stories, plays, and comic strips. Sharing these creations was always a thrill for me. As I grew older, I shelved my dreams of being a writer to pursue a career more guaranteed to provide a solid financial future.
In 1995, when my children were a bit older, I returned to writing beginning with "The Replas Transformation Project." The process of writing after a very long time away proved itself in a resulting rather limited, rusty work. Undaunted, I began to write "Bandar" and stopped about a third of the way through. Other commitments drove me away once again. It wasn't until 2022 that I decided to return to these two earlier efforts. Once at it again, "Bandar" really wrote itself. At times, I was writing with the intent of discovering what might happen next.
This era of self publishing has opened doors for me, allowing the ability to share stories once again. I hope that readers enjoy them as much I have writing them.
