Kas Thomas

KAS THOMAS has written widely on technical topics and has been a documentation specialist at Novell and Adobe Systems, writing everything from user manuals and developer doc to white papers, patent applications, blogs, seminar handouts, and marketing collateral, mostly having to do with big enterprise-software products.

Thomas is a native of Los Angeles and holds degrees in biology and microbiology from U.C. Irvine and Davis, respectively. He has written on science topics for BigThink.com and others, specializing in the skewering of sacred cows.

A pilot for over 40 years, Thomas has written a variety of aviation titles, some now out of print. His first hard cover book was a title for McGraw-Hill (Personal Aircraft Maintenance).

More recently, Thomas has written a mental health memoir (Of Two Minds) and a how-to book on recovering from major depression (Hack Your Depression).
