Jodee Kulp (1956 - )

Jodee Kulp is a pioneering advocate, author, and illustrator who has devoted her life to increasing understanding of Fetal Alcohol Spectrum Disorders (FASD). She has authored or contributed to twelve books on FASD, more than any other parent advocate in the field, offering vital guidance to thousands of families and individuals.

An international speaker, trainer, and advocate, Jodee equips families and professionals to support the emotional, mental, physical, and spiritual needs of people with FASD, enabling them to thrive in community. She also co‑founded the International Red Shoes Rock Stop FASD Awareness campaign, developed the Expanding Mindz with Canines program, and co‑created the Furry the Penguin curriculum for young children.

Known for making complex information clear and engaging, Jodee’s award‑winning books and resources have helped shape safer, more compassionate communities for people with fetal alcohol brain injury. A Biblical Health Coach and certified PraiseMoves fitness instructor, she offers hope to children, teens, and adults navigating neurodiversity and trauma. Jodee is part of the Embraced Project, a transmedia initiative to raise awareness of FASD. She and her husband, Karl, parented Liz Kulp (1986–July 6, 2024), an award‑winning author who lived with FASD; their family’s journey has opened doors of understanding for professionals and families around the world.
