Dennis Foley

A lifelong Chicagoan, Dennis Foley holds an MFA in Creative Writing from Columbia College-Chicago and a JD from The John Marshall Law School. Dennis has six books and one produced screenplay to his credit. His books often explore the struggles of working-class families. His newest book, SLEEPING BEARS - A Modern Christmas Carol, blends the grit of Chicago's South Side and the beauty of Northern Michigan with Dennis' love of Charles Dickens' classic, A Christmas Carol.

Dennis wrote the screenplay for the film Not a Stranger, which received 3 stars upon its screening from film critic Richard Roeper, who called it "the epitome of an independent film." He is a die-hard Chicago Cubs fan.
