John Michael Magness

John Michael Magness (b. 1964) is an author, business executive, and professional speaker. He works for Hillwood, a Ross Perot real estate development company. John is a combat decorated veteran in three armed conflicts, having served nine years in the United States Army with roles as commander, staff officer, and pilot. His last military assignment was as Operations Officer and pilot with the famed Task Force 160 Nightstalkers, an elite Special Operations Aviation unit. In this unit, John participated in numerous combat missions including the Battle of the Black Sea in Mogadishu, Somalia, which was depicted in the movie and book, “Black Hawk Down”. In 1999, he published Pilot Vision, sharing seven pilot secrets for success in life and business (Adams-Hall Publishing). He is currently finishing an incredibly true story about a harrowing and heroric battle in Vietnam that eventually claimed the life of his father nearly 34 years after it occured. John, his wife Angie, and their two children reside in Redlands, CA.
