Hazel Dawkins

An editor-writer, I started out in London's newspaper world (yes, the lowest rung on the ladder). Then came Paris (and an office on the Champs Elysees). New York (Manhattan), was next. After sojourns in California & Michigan came happy years in Greenfield, Massachusetts, until cold New England winters became too much for my bones. To my own surprise & that of dear friends, I made the bittersweet decision to return to Bournemouth where I grew up. A seaside town with a mild climate & miles of glorious sandy beaches, it is on England's south coast. My factual books published by the OEP Foundation in Maryland (oepf.org), include "The Suddenly Successful Student," which is about neuro-optometry - also known as behavioral optometry. This valuable health care is available in 40 countries. My fiction, the Dr. Yoko Kamimura series, are, "Eye Sleuth," "Eye Witness" (created in amiable collaboration with longtime friend Dennis Berry), "Eye Sleuth's Ghostly Vacation" & "Eyes On the Past." My 9th book, a memoir, "Hazy Memory," was published in May 2021. Will I respond to requests for a sequel? Watch this space.
