Daniel Will-Harris

Daniel Will-Harris is a multidisciplinary artist, best-selling author, playwright, designer, and actor whose work spans literature, theater, film, and design. The Museum of Modern Art (MoMA) has called his work, “truly unique.”

Will-Harris has authored four novels and books that have sold over 300,000 copies worldwide. He is the creator of the popular Write Now Stories podcast, which features over 100 of his original short stories. He recently published two new volumes of short fiction titled, “Autobiographies of Other People.” He has two produced feature film screenplays to his credit and is an actor, having appeared in films, television shows and web series.

In the theater, Will-Harris has developed five full-length plays with institutions including the Kennedy Center Playwriting Intensive, Naked Angels Theater, and the LGBTQ Desert Playwrights Retreat. At London’s Actors Centre, his fifth produced play culminated winning both the prestigious Critics Choice and Audience Awards.

Beyond the page and stage, he is an award-winning designer. His iconic wristwatches are sold at cultural institutions including MoMA, the Guggenheim, and the Getty. His work also extends into avant-garde performance art, including work developed at the Marina Abramović Institute for SFMoMA.

Will-Harris dedicates himself to empowering other artists. He currently leads the DPR Playwright’s LAB, and his Write in the Now workshops at the Beverly Hills Library. He teaches his transformative writing methodology worldwide to help them eliminate writer’s block, unlock creative flow, and tap into profound artistic depth.
