Laura Hughes

Laura Hughes is a software developer by day, young adult author by night. She was first published at the age of eight through a writing and illustration contest for young authors, a promising start which was quickly squandered as it coincided with her home getting the Internet. While attending high school in Rhode Island, she enjoyed brief Internet fame as a webcomic artist and comedy writer, and still insists she invented the pirates vs. ninjas meme. She currently lives in Boston, where she enjoys drawing pictures of elves. Her first gay & lesbian young adult novel, DON'T ASK, was released in April 2013. Her website is www.laurahughes.com.
