Kevin Shea

Kevin Shea (1967-) was born in Brooklyn, New York, to a working class family, grew up on Long Island, and now resides in Baiting Hollow, New York and also in San Juan Del Sur, Nicaragua. For 5 years he was a FDNY firefighter in New York City. Kevin designed and had built the largest wooden residential dome called the Long Island Green Dome which has become a modest landmark for sustainable design on Long Island. His first book, "How to build your own Wind Turbine," was contracted by McGrawHill Publishing. In 2008, recently retired, he commenced a wildlife reserve project in Ostional, Nicaragua (http://opwr.org)which opens to public 12/12/2012. Future projects include a books about the Long Island Green Dome, Project O and a social science fictional series.
