Randy Morse (1949) is a British Columbia-based author, artist, musician, and publisher. After studies at universities and institutes in the U.S., Canada, Norway, and Sweden, Morse abandoned a promising, award-laden academic career while in the throes of a tedious PhD dissertation, choosing instead to make his way through this mysteriously wonderful life as an independent creator. Morse's previous books include Oregon The Coast, The Mountains of Canada, Canada The Mountains, The Naked Mountain, Darkness at the End of the Tunnel, and Man Up in Ten Lessons. He is currently working on two novels, and honing his understanding of the Meaning of Life while teaching his dog, Scout, that bears are to be barked at, not chased.
