D. Kate Dooley

My husband, Mark, and I live in the hills and write our books and enjoy drum circles and storytelling rings. We are working on creating a homestead where others can come and enjoy and share story and song. We have three children, all grown, and three grandchildren. All are wise, wonderful, and creative.

We were both born and raised in the hills of WV. His family hails from Mt. Nebo and mine from Richwood. We have ties, as well, to the mountains of NC. The storying way of the hills is part of the way we live our lives. We believe in faeries and in Goddess as well as God.
