Hansen Alexander

Whether writing fiction or non fiction, Hansen Alexander's books are always entertaining and always humorous, an eclectic combination that may remind many readers of Chilean writer Roberto Bolano who, like Alexander, was born in 1953. "A writer is in the entertainment business," Alexander has said, "and my goal is to give my readers a good show."

Hansen Alexander was reared on a goat farm in rural Quaker Springs, New York. He earned his B.A. in History from the University of Texas, and his J.D. from New York Law School in New York City, where he practiced law for many years. Alexander served as a scheduler to the family of the President of the United States during the 1993 presidential inaugural. He was a member of the American Bar Association, the New York State Bar Association, the Brehon Law Society, the Texas Folklore Society, and the Texas-Ex Students Association.

His books include the comic novels, LOVE AND THE YOUNGER WOMAN AND RAT CITY, biographies of sports icons Tim Tebow and Roger Clemens, the romantic novel LOVERS IN ANOTHER TIME, an introductory law book for the general reader, THE LAWS OF THE UNITED STATES, a biography of Texas Folklore Society co-founder, L.W. Payne, Jr., RARE INTEGRITY, and an eclectic collection of satire, literary essays, and social commentary, THE CONFESSIONS OF A PROFESSIONAL BULLSHITTER. His wife Taube Cyrus is a poet and literary essayist.
