Barbara L. Breaden

Barbara L. Breaden studied Rhetoric and Communication at the University of Illinois and the University of Oregon. She has taught Speech and Communication Studies courses in higher education for more than thirty-five years. Breaden founded a successful debate team at Lane Community College in Eugene, Oregon, where she continues to teach live and online classes. She has developed two workbooks for honing listening skills and writes a blog (Who’s Talking) on all things speech-wise, focusing mainly on short speeches and freedom of speech issues.
