Rishad Saam Mehta switched careers from an engineer to a travel writer thanks to a job advertisement in an old newspaper that his lunch was wrapped in one day.
That job with a new automobile magazine led to another job that had him driving to exotic destinations in India every month. His book Hot Tea Across India is a humorous collection of travel stories from his years at Autocar India.
His engaging writing won him assignments for road trips in various countries in an assortment of cars and Fast Cars and Fidgety Feet is about those trips around the world.
His latest book called The Long Drive Home is about his drive from Munich to Bombay - a road trip that he has long cherished doing since he was in his teens.
Rishad was diagnosed with Tourette's Syndrome when he was 11 and instead of it shackling him, he decided to come to terms with it and not stop him from realizing his dream of travelling the world, writing great travel stories, clicking fantastic photographs and driving the best cars out there.
