Rik Edwards was born in 1956. He has compiled four books to aid crossword solvers under the name R.J.Edwards: the first of these was The Crossword Anagram Dictionary which he completed while an undergraduate at the University of Warwick. It was published in 1978.
Dwindling sales caused by internet crossword solving software forced him to seek gainful employment in the City of London, from which he retired in 2016. He would like to write another book one day, and would like it to be a better read than his first four.
