My three passions are William Shakespeare, animal rights and West Ham United - it's a strange mix perhaps - and now I've written books about the first two. Born in London, I now live in the country and am planning my next series of books about Shakespeare's plays. Shakespeare has been a passion since I first saw Romeo and Juliet at the age of fourteen: his language, plots and characters encompass all human experience and emotion. Shakespeare is for everybody, not just academics, and his work is just as exciting and relevant today as when it was first written.
