Currently, I work as a senior analyst at a research corporation near Washington, DC. Having worked in Europe and the USA, I have been a maths teacher, researcher in community health statistics at a medical school, senior lecturer in sociology and quantitative social science, computer journalist, computer book author, technical writer, and a software designer. I have a BA (Kent at Canterbury) in sociology and social anthropology, and a PhD (Keele) in mathematical sociology and statistics.

* Socially, I think that being poor - or just being different - is no reason to be denied humane treatment.
