Janet Edmonds

I spent childhood summers in the Adirondacks exploring and playing, making forts and fairy houses with my sisters, in woods filled with freshwater ponds, waterfalls, and brooks. During a quick getaway from Boston to Cape Cod thirty years ago, I recognized myself as a sand and saltwater person. My soles and soul sizzled with certainty that I'd found "home" during a first wintry walk on Sandy Neck followed by an icy hike on Race Point Beach in Provincetown. I moved here a year later, and after a bit of time, I started to write poetry about my experiences and observations here.

Now living near a salt marsh and harbor, I write, grow scores of daylilies and hostas, carve and shape wood burls, and feel endlessly thankful for a never-expected abundance of loving, fun, and gracious friends.
