Christopher Wheeler

Christopher Wheeler is a Yukon based author and photographer. He started taking photos and drawing in earnest around the age of eight, building his first darkroom while still a teen.

Christopher completed a three year program in the Fine Arts in 1987, and began to write poetry in his late twenties. He then went on to study computer technology, followed by primary education, completing his education degree when well into his forties. Christopher's education, his itinerant youth living in many parts of western, central, and northern Canada, along with a rich and varied professional career are all drawn on in his writing.

Christopher's poetry deals with themes such as love loss, faith, aging, the environment, and the wilderness. His first book of Poetry was published in October of 2020. He is currently working on his second collection. Christopher lives in Whitehorse, Yukon with his wife, Joanne and their dogs.
