George S. Katrougalos is a Greek constitutionalist and human rights lawyer. (1985 Law School of Athens, 1987 LLM Universite Paris-I Pantheon Sorbonne, 1990 Ph.D. Sorbonne). He is currently Professor of Public Law at Democritos University of Greece. His research interests include human rights, with special emphasis on social rights, comparative constitutional law and institution building. He has taught or given lectures at New York University (2012, 2007), London School of Economics (2008), Universite d'Orleans (2001), Roskilde University (1994-1995). He has published in Greek, American, European and Russian legal journals. Among his monographs are the "The Social state in the post-industrial era", A. Sakkoulas, Athens, 1998 --in Greek--, and "Constitution, Law and Rights in the Welfare State and beyond", first edition Roskilde University, Roskilde, 1995, second edition, A. Sakkoulas, Athens,1998.
