Frederick R. Jelovsek

Rick Jelovsek has been a student of wine and a wine lover for over 50 years. He lives in Jonesborough, Tennessee and is a certified wine judge member of the American Wine Society, having judged regularly at multiple competitions including the American Wine Society, Wines of the South in Knoxville, TN, the Asheville Wine and Food Festival, the Dixie Classic Fair in Winston-Salem, NC, the NC State Fair, and at various other competitions. He holds certificates as a Certified Specialist of Wine (CSW) and a Certified Wine Educator (CWE) from the Society of Wine Educators, a French Wine Scholar (FWS) from the Wine Scholar Guild, and a Level One Sommelier certificate from The Court of Masters Sommeliers. He grows grapes in an experimental vineyard with over 1000 vinifera, native and hybrid grape vines. He is also editor of the book, “Wine Service for Wait Staff and Wine Lovers.”
