Stuart Henson

Poet and playwright, Stuart Henson is an Eric Gregory Award winner and recipient of an Eastern Arts Bursary for ‘A Place Apart’ (Shoestring Press, 2003) His most recent poetry collection is 'Feast of Fools’, a collaboration with artist Bill Sanderson (Shoestring, 2015) and a New & Selected entitled 'The Way You Know It' is due from Shoestring in 2018.

His adaptation ‘The Play of the Silver Sword’, a stage version of Ian Serraillier’s celebrated novel, has sold more than 50,000 copies and has been performed world-wide by schools and youth theatres. It was recently revived at the Yvonne Arnaud Youth Theatre, Guildford. Two new plays for adults, ‘Grace’ and ‘The Italian Garden’ are in the pipeline.
