David Tolfree

I am a professional physicist and a Senior Fellow of the Institute of Physics with over 40 years of experience in nuclear research, micro-nanotechnology development, project management and the marketing of research facilities while employed by the UK Atomic Energy Authority (1957-1966) and the UK Research Councils (CLRC) (1966-1998).

During my career as a government physicist and an industry consultant, I published over 175, books, book chapters, newspaper, journal and magazine articles and conference proceedings. I have given invited interviews on television and radio on micro and nanotechnology commercialization. I am currently the Vice President and Executive Director of MANCEF International (Micro - Nanotechnology, and Emerging Technologies Commercialization Educational Foundation). I am currently on the Editorial Board of the International Commercial Micro Manufacturing magazine and a regular writer.

My current interests are writing, reading, film-making, photography, space science, painting, gardening. I have a strong interest in emerging technologies and their societal impact and write about current events. I now devote much of my time to a new passion - writing fictional political thrillers.
