Jonathan Walker

Jonathan Walker is a member of the British Commission for Military History, The Haig Fellowship, and an Honorary Research Fellow in War Studies at The University of Birmingham. He is also a former Vice President of the West Country Writers Association. His books include 'The Blue Beast - Power & Passion in the Great War', 'Poland Alone', 'Aden Insurgency', The Blood Tub', 'War letters to a Wife' (as Ed.) and 'Churchill's Third World War'. He has also just edited a remarkable memoir, 'D-Day, Arnhem & The Rhine - A Glider Pilot's Story', a new publication concerning the exploits of Robert Ashby and his valiant comrades during the Second World War. He has also contributed to four more books on military history and when he is not navigating battlefields across the world, he lectures on aspects of 20th conflict to a wide variety of institutions and associations, as well as giving talks aboard cruise ships.
