Dr Russell Grigg is an Education Inspector at the Ministry of Education in UAE. He has extensive senior leadership experience eg as Head of Teacher Education at the largest provider of initial teacher education in Wales and school inspector for Estyn. He has a strong research profile, most recently as Head of Research at the Wales Centre of Equity in Education where he was Associate Professor. He has written over sixty publications, including a dozen books, and between 2013-20 co-edited the Wales Journal of Education. He is a Founding Fellow of the Chartered College of Teaching and was co-editor of the Wales Journal of Education (2013-2020). He authored EntreCompEdu, a professional development framework for teachers on teaching entrepreneurial competences. His forthcoming publications include a co-authored book on animal-assisted interventions in education (to be published by Crown House in 2020) and a chapter on the history of school inspection in Wales (to be published by the University of Wales Press, 2021). He has excellent ICT skills, including his own websites, and has produced a range of digital resources commissioned at government level.
