William Gray

Zoologist, conservationist and award-winning author and photographer, William Gray has been writing for newspapers, magazines, book publishers and environmental organisations for around 30 years. The author of several books on wildlife, family and adventure travel, his writing career began when he was 23, following the publication of Coral Reefs & Islands: The Natural History of a Threatened Paradise. Will has since won over 20 awards for journalism, including AITO Travel Writer of the Year and BGTW Travel Photographer of the Year. His travel, landscape and wildlife images are represented by AWL Images, and he runs photography workshops in Cornwall, the Cotswolds and beyond. Will’s passion for wildlife has taken him from Alaska to Zambia, Svalbard to the Falklands. Islands teeming with seabirds are his particular passion – and he is also an Africa addict. After devoting countless weekends and school holidays over the past 20 years to travelling the length and breadth of Britain with his children in search of nature and wild places, Family Wildlife Adventures is the result. Will’s message is simple: “More than ever, we need to nurture and encourage our children’s instinctive empathy and enthusiasm for nature – and what better way to inspire the next generation of conservationists than by filling their childhood with adventures in search of wildlife.” Find out more at www.william-gray.co.uk or @willgrayphotography on Facebook and Instagram.
