Her megastar sound archive is a who`s who of Hollywood itself and boasts comprehensive interviews (3 hours plus) with stars from Old and New Hollywood including Joan Blondell, Walter Matthau, Jack Lemmon, Jane Russell, Candice Bergen, Dustin Hoffman, Peter Falk, Shirley MacLaine, Liza Minnelli, Jeff Bridges and others. Her most consequential interview is one with MGM`s Lillian Burns Sidney which spanned months and runs about 12 hours.
Shevey`s articles, essays and interviews have appeared in publications such as the New York Times, the Los Angeles Times, the Metropolitan Newspaper Syndicate (60 Sunday magazines), and others.
Shevey has also authored 2 revisionist biographies: `The Marilyn Scandal` (Marilyn Monroe) and `The Others Side of Lennon ` (John Lennon)
SO LET`S TALK ABOUT THE REISSUE OF `THE MARILYN SCANDAL` 2007 AND THE UNIQUENESS OF THE BOOK.
I was fascinated by the life of Marilyn Monroe having grown up in America in the Fifties when she was a big, big star. Working in Hollywood during the Seventies gave me a chance to talk to people who actually knew and worked with her and boy! was I amazed at the disparity between illusion and reality.
It is for this reason that I proclaim `The Marilyn Scandal` as a seminal revisionist biography. I have to laugh when other biographies which crib from my own inasmuch as the authors weren`t alive when Marilyn and/or colleagues were exploit hard-won research from `The Marilyn Scandal`. I have to laugh and I have to cry too.
This revisionist account of the life of the actress supports my own role as a paramount megastar interviewer inasmuch as it contains interviews with elusive people and contains in-depth interviews with them too. Among them are: Colin Clark (before his own fictional account `My Week With Marilyn`), Dr. Greenson, Milton Greene, Rupert Allan, John Springer, Stanley Rubin and others.
The reissue also contains an appendix of letters...some very insightful...such as the one from Tom Ewell, Marilyn`s co-star in `The Seven Year Itch`. It is a two-page handwritten letter which confirms Ewell`s belief in the myth put about by the studios that Marilyn`s mother died when she was a child. Actually, the woman outlived her famous daughter and accompanied Miller and Monroe to England when they were on honeymoon and where she was filming `The Prince and the Showgirl` with Laurence Olivier.
Sandra has been writing about Alfred Hitchcock since a formidable interview in 1972 and curates exhibitions about his London-based films at galleries, museums and libraries in London. She gives regular talks about the director and runs daily walks.

Sandra is looking for a publisher for a revisionist mega-biography about Alfred Hitchcock.
Shevey moved to London in the Eighties where she authored both biographies and where she runs film and literary walks around Alfred Hitchcock locations, Miss Marple vintage locales, Charles Dickens film and literary locations and London heritage street markets. Many of the films profiled are those which Sandra herself documented when writing in the Sixties, Seventies and Eighties. Thus soundbites from the interviews and original storyboards are prime components of the walks.
The markets tour 3 hrs daily 11am and 6pm prioritizes local street markets facing threats from redevelopment. Sandra profiles 3 markets 3 hrs on each tour from a rota of 15 ancient local street markets. http://sandrashevey.tripod.com
