A beauty & lifestyle expert, Ms. Da Costa is the author of Textured Tresses, The Ultimate Guide to Maintaining and Styling Natural Hair, published by Simon and Schuster, June 2004.

Diane firmly believes it is her calling to educate both consumers and professionals with her multiple informative and inspirational textured hairstyling books and videos.

Ms. Da Costa is also the master cutter expert for the Milady Perspective In Hair Design: Cutting Curly Textured Hair DVD Series with Diane Da Costa, November, 2013 by Milady/Cengage Learning Publishers. Ms. Da Costa is also contributing author and editor of the 2nd Edition of the Milady Standard Natural Hair Care & Braiding textbook and 13th Edition of the Milady Standard Cosmetology Textbook. She has served as Carol's Daughter Brand Ambassador Stylist & Curly Texture Expert, as well as, contributing content creator to Carol's Daughter's transitioning movement website. She served as the Mizani multi-textured expert and creative consultant for the L'Oreal owned brand and has also consulted with Aveda, Phyto (Ales Group) and Design Essentials (McBride Laboratories).

Diane owns SimpleeBEAUTIFUL Lifestyle Brand, salons and a lifestyle boutique in New York City. She holds a B.B.A in Marketing from Pace University and resides in New Rochelle, New York. She loves to invent, paint, travel, and spend time with her family.
