Bruce J. Hunt

Bruce J. Hunt teaches courses in the history of science and technology at the University of Texas at Austin. His is especially interested in the ways technologies affected the development of physics in the 19th century, a theme he explores in his latest book, "Imperial Science: Cable Telegraphy and Electrical Physics in the Victorian British Empire" (Cambridge University Press, 2021). He is currently working on a biography of the Scottish physicist James Clerk Maxwell (1831-1879).
