D. W. Linden

D. W. Linden's early experiences in the National Indian Youth Council and the American Indian Movement are part of the inspiration for SAND CREEK, the first in the Johnny Hart Mystery series. The second and third books in the series, ROCKY FORD and BY THE RIVER OF LOST SOULS, grew out of his time living in Southeast Colorado as a disc jockey and radio news director. His historical fiction novel, THE SECOND SON, looks at the opening of the Santa Fe Trail from the Native American and Hispanic perspective of those on the receiving end of America's Manifest Destiny. D. W. Linden has also been a carpenter, school teacher, ordained minister and attorney. He currently lives in California.
