Michael "Mac" McClelland was born in Atlanta, raised in various places around the U.S., survived his high school years in S.C., and finally migrated to his adopted hometown of Tallahassee on a cross-country bicycle trip that didn't quite make it across the country. In Tallahassee he went to college, spent more than a decade as a reporter covering Florida politics and the environment, went back to college, and now teaches English and journalism at Wittenberg University in Springfield, Ohio.
Mac has published four novels, including the amazon e-book bestseller "Oyster Blues" and its just-released sequel, "Turtle Up!" His books are filled with laughter and playfulness, backed by a deep love for the environment and abiding anger at those who would harm it.
Mac plays guitar and fantasy sports, and has two dogs, three cats, and a beautiful loving wife. He is a very lucky guy.
