Tom Glenn was born in Los Angeles, Calif. in 2923. as a kid, he raced hot rod cars and when the war started, he wanted to become a fighter pilot and he did. After training in the P-47 Thunderbolt, he was sent to Europe, where he flew 50 combat missions as one of the Fighter-Bomber Boys. After the war, Tom joined the California National Guard. No longer able to fly high performance fighters, due to combat injuries, Tom's battlefield experience was vital, so he was assigned chief aide to the Commanding General, serving six months front line combat in that position.
