Joan Dial

Joan Dial, who has also written under the pseudonyms Amanda York, Katherine Kent, Katherine Sinclair and Paige Phillips, is the internationally acclaimed author of 29 hard and softcover novels, including historical romance, family saga, epic adventure, contemporary romance, mystery and suspense. Publisher's Weekly reviewers have described her fiction as "page-turners" and "riveting." Sixteen of her novels are available as Amazon e-books, all published under her real name.

Born in Liverpool, England, she decided she wanted to become a story-teller at age five when she read her first children's book, didn't like the ending, so tore out the last chapter and re-wrote her own version.

Before her first novel was published she married a young American airman and they spent their first years together moving back and forth across the Atlantic, reluctant to give up their respective countries. A variety of different jobs on both sides of the Atlantic followed. Then they visited California, fell in love with the sun and surf, settled down and started their family.

Joan's latest novel is written in a genre she had never used before (science fiction) the characters and concept came to her in a dream (something that never happened with previous novels) and is perhaps a story unto itself. Titled Sanctuary it is now available on Amazon as a paperback or e-book (free on Amazon Prime.) First readers have described Sanctuary as inventive, engrossing and timely.
