John Flach

John M. Flach is a Senior Cognitive Systems Engineer at Perspicacity LLC, Beavercreek, OH. John is interested in the performance of human-machine (sociotechnical) systems. He has written and lectured extensively on ecological approaches to human-machine systems, cognitive systems engineering, and dynamical systems theory. John received the Ph.D. in Human Experimental Psychology from The Ohio State University in 1984. John has been on the faculties of University of Illinois and Wright State University where he has had joint appointments in psychology and engineering departments. From 2004 to 2012 he was chair of the Department of Psychology at Wright State.
