Keith Richardson

Keith Richardson taught psychology, sociology and humanities in a comprehensive before moving into special education, teaching children with profound and multiple difficulties, including multisensory impairments. This refocussed him on the nature of development and learning and led to an MA in how children learn, then a PhD in theories of child development. A book followed, exploring the way supposedly alternative causes, nature or nurture, actually always interact together to produce change. He was advancing a materialist, ecological systems view where every human change is realised to emerge from dynamic interactions running within and between bodies and environment at multiple levels.

He also tutored part-time in several Universities, variously on child development, multisensory impairent, early communication, and social constructs of disability, and also ran an MA in Action Research for several years. He now lives and runs in Pembrokeshire, with occasional eating/fishing trips to France, etc.
