Amy Schapiro

Amy Schapiro is the author of Millicent Fenwick: Her Way, the first biography of the pipe-smoking grandmother elected to Congress at the age of 64 in 1974. The book received national praise ranging from Vogue magazine to the Trenton Times which called “her even-handed approach...one of the most admirable works of its kind.” Schapiro has spoken around the country at conferences, book festivals, book stores, the Library of Congress, and the National Archives. She has appeared on BookTV, NPR, WOR, and WABC.
