Dr. Ronald L. Feinman, "The Progressive Professor", is a professor of American History, Government and Politics, and lecturer on modern American topics. He is also a blogger at http://theprogressiveprofessor.com/ since 2008, and the author of two books:
- Twilight of Progressivism: The Western Republican Senators and the New Deal (Johns Hopkins University Press, 1981)
- Assassinations, Threats and the American Presidency: From Andrew Jackson to Barack Obama (Rowman & Littlefield, 2015, Paperback 2017).
Dr. Feinman studied under Professor Arthur Schlesinger, Jr, Pulitzer Prize winning historian, and sponsor of his dissertation, who was Albert Schweitzer Professor of the Humanities at the CUNY Graduate Center from 1966-1993. That dissertation became his first book listed above.
Dr. Feinman has published dozens of articles on HistoryNewsNetwork.org, and is a regular political commentator on WWGH 107.1 FM, Marion, Ohio, with Adam Lepp and Scott Spears, and has been given the title of "Presidentologist" on that station's web page. His focus has been on the Presidency throughout his academic career, nearing a half century in the year 2022.
