Jean Sheldon

Jean Sheldon, Ph.D. is professor of religion at Pacific Union College, located in California's famous Napa Valley. With a Ph.D. in ancient Near Eastern religions (including the Hebrew Bible), she enjoys comparing ancient Near Eastern texts with biblical ones with a view to understanding the significance of a particular biblical passage. She also seeks to make the Bible real and practical, and God's character understood within the ancient setting. Her interests include writing, research, thinking, gardening, music, photography, and cats. She enjoys discussion with others, and aims to make people sense their value.
