Sue Cobb

Sue McCourt Cobb (b. 1937) was born in Los Angeles, CA. and attended Stanford University where she met and married Charles E. Cobb, Jr. Sue is an attorney and in 1988 she attempted to be the first American woman to summit Mt. Everest. Subsequently both Sue Cobb and Chuck Cobb served as U.S. Ambassadors, he in Iceland (1989-1992) and Sue in Jamaica (2001-2005). Sue also served in 1999 as CEO of the Florida Lottery and later as Secretary of State of Florida (2005-2007). Ambassadors Cobb live in Coral Gables, FL.
