Steven Eric Plank

Steven Plank is Professor of Musicology at Oberlin College, where he has taught since 1980. A contributor to various journals, including "The Musical Times," "Early Music," and "Music & Letters," he specializes in the music of seventeenth-century England, performance practice, the organology of brass instruments, and the relationship of liturgical context and musical style. An accomplished performer, as well, he is the recipient of the 2009 Thomas Binkley Award from Early Music America for distinguished work in directing the Collegium Musicum Oberliniense.
